The spa is located on the garden level of the hotel, and offers a full range of services influenced by ancient Ayurvedic wellness rituals. Guests will find luxurious facilities, spanning 5,000 square feet, including multi-purpose rooms, a couple’s suite, a beauty salon, fitness room, retail area and indoor/outdoor relaxation area with steam room and poolside tiki cabanas. Spa guests have direct access to the hotel’s private beach, swimming pool, and tropical gardens, and can expect a truly personalized wellness experience.

Vivian Villamizar, the Palms’ Spa Director, describes her favourite treatment: “Because we are based on Ayurveda, we have a lot of journeys and treatments that involve monitoring your chakras, energy healing, and aromatherapy. My favorite treatment is the Tropicals Signature Journey, which features a back scrub with Mālie Organics products from Hawaii. The products are amazing and there is a choice between mango and a floral scent.”
The Palms is family friendly escape in Miami Beach
She adds that the Palms is very family friendly, something one might not expect in Miami Beach. “We’re an ocean front resort and we welcome families. And we are in the middle of Miami beach, where a lot of people may think you can’t go to have a family experience. Here, it’s less about the party, and more about relaxation, indulging, and serenity.”
The AVEDA Spa recently made the move to Book4Time software and Villamizar says that she is very happy with the both software and go-live experience.
“The best thing about Book4Time was that the process was supposed to take six to eight weeks, but because we tried to go contactless and do all of this faster, we were able to do this in two weeks,” she told us.
“It was really good going live,” Villamizar added. “Our trainer is amazing. He’s a very good point of contact, and he held our hand through the entire process. So, I’m very happy. I’ve gone through transitions before and this was a very good transition.”
Compared with other software systems she has used in the past, Villamizar says Book4Time is “very easy.”
The system makes life easier for the team too. “It is very user friendly. I have therapists who didn’t even dare to use our system before, They now feel very confident about using the software system.”
Currently, the AVEDA Spa at the Palms is operating on an adjusted schedule, staggering appointments, and has revised its treatment menu to include low-touch treatments and a simplified selection of traditional treatments. The steam room, shower, and locker rooms are also currently closed.

Tropical Island Signature Massage
A uniquely customizable massage experience enhanced with delicate tropical aromas that promises to renew your skin and relieve your soul. “Breathe deeply while a hydrating Mālie Organics body polish is worked onto your back smoothing the most neglected area of your body and revealing new skin beneath.” The treatments allows the guest to integrate up to three massage modalities with an 80 minute service, or two modalities with a 50 minute service.
AVEDA Aroma Massage
A twist on the classic Swedish massage. “Relaxing and comforting as always, but with the accomplished touch of personalized AVEDA aromas and massage techniques.” The therapist uses “an abundance of hydrating oils with long flowing strokes that unwind even the tightest of muscles.”
Chakra Balancing Massage
The Chakra Balancing Massage incorporates AVEDA’s Chakra Balancing Blend Aromas and focuses on the seven chakra centers in the body, using a variety of massage techniques and energy work. This massage concludes with a guided meditation “to help enhance the benefits of stress-relief, decreased muscular tension and increased energy.”
AVEDA Signature Facial
A personalized experience in which a skin therapist provides the best combination of products for the guest and designs a customized treatment. “Dry, oily, aging, uneven, sensitive and acneic skin conditions as well as eye concerns can all be addressed with a customized Tulasāra facial treatment.”
