The Luxury Collection introduces The Langley Spa after multi-million dollar renovation of historic building

The Langley, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Buckinghamshire

Introducing the Langley Spa at The Langley, Buckinghamshire.

The Luxury Collection, part of Marriott International Inc., has opened The Langley, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Buckinghamshire. The hotel is located just outside of London in the heart of Buckinghamshire’s Langley Park.

The Langley offers 41 luxury bedrooms in two buildings. On of these is Langley Park House, the historic former hunting lodge of the third Duke of Marlborough, and the other is an adjacent 18th century Brew House. The property is opening for the first time as a hotel after an extensive six-year, multi-million dollar renovation.

“Buckinghamshire is a picturesque county full of rolling green hills and stunning gardens, grand castles, and quaint towns with rich history.” said Anthony Ingham, Global Brand Leader, The Luxury Collection, in a media release. “The Langley is yet another stunning example of The Luxury Collection’s commitment to restoring historic icons across the globe, and our guests will deeply connect with our first hotel in this remarkable destination respite just outside the buzzing city of London.”

Built between 1756 and 1760, the main Langley Park House is a grand Palladian mansion. This is where you will find The Langley’s most opulent accommodations, including the exclusive, three-bedroom Duke of Marlborough Suite, which offers unparalleled views of the park and its lake. The Brew House has functioned as a stable, a clock tower, and a brewery, and now offers comfortable residential rooms and suites,.

The Langley Spa

The 1,600 square-metre Langley Spa combines “striking design elements with world-class facilities,” including vitality pools, hammams, juniper-wood sauna with pink Himalayan salt walls, amethyst steam room and 16-metre marble-lined indoor swimming pool. There are also several relaxation spaces, a manicure and pedicure studio, a hair salon, and a Spa Lounge serving nutritious snacks and cold-pressed juices. An outdoor swimming pool sits beside the banks of Langley Lake.

The Langley gym was developed in partnership with celebrity trainer Matt Roberts and offers bespoke one-on-one personal training. Guests may also undergo comprehensive health diagnostics using 3D-printed figurines to illustrate bodily progression.

Menu standouts of the Langley Spa include:

THE LANGLEY SIGNATURE HAMMAM RITUAL

A Moroccan Hammam experience that begins with a black soap cleanse followed by a wash in “nutrient-infused” waters. This treatment involves full body exfoliation, a rassoul honey envelopment, a hair wash with Moroccan rassoul clay, and argan oil drizzled onto the scalp “for a spine-tingling head massage and conditioning hair treatment.”

THE LANGLEY SIGNATURE MASSAGE

A nod to the former Duke and Duchess of Marlborough, this treatment is inspired by the beauty secrets of royalty throughout the ages. The massage combines 23-carat gold, caviar, Champagne, and pearl, blended with rich, precious oils – “all helping to smooth and nourish, improving luminosity and skin elasticity.”

The Langley Spa menu also features a selection of “journeys” that include the following:

JOURNEY TO DARJEELING

An experience “inspired by the foothills of the Himalayas, where La Sultane de Saba sources fresh, green tea leaves.” This treatment includes an invigorating salt and oil scrub enhanced with ginger, a shea butter massage using hot and cold ceramic poultices, a green tea wrap and a soothing scalp massage. The experience finishes with “a spirit-lifting green tea body lotion, leaving skin butter-soft and the body energized and detoxified.”

JOURNEY OF DELIGHT

This treatment promises to indulge the senses with an aromatic blend, evocative of citrus groves and “the precious treasures of argan trees.” Orange blossom is combined with organic argan oil in a “candle massage”, drizzled from top-to-toe, combined with firm Swedish-style massage. The journey continues with a facial using silk cocoons for their “amazing pore-refining and anti-ageing benefits.”
