Winners of the inaugural Global Spa & Wellness Awards announced

Luxury Travel Advisor and American Spa have announced the winners of their inaugural Global Spa and Wellness Awards.

The awards include winners in Global and Regional categories, as well as standout categories, such as Cuisine, Family, and Romance.

Winners in the Global category include SpaHalekulani, Honolulu, HI,  (Best Spa – Global Awards, United States), Aman Spa at Amanoi, Ninh Thuận, Vietnam (Best Spa – Global Awards – Asia), ESPA Life at Corinthia Hotel London (Best Spa, Global Awards, Europe), and The Spa at Chable, Chochola, Mexico (Best Spa – Global Awards – Mexico, South & Central America).

The awards were announced in fall 2017, along with a panel of judges that includes Ruthanne Terrero, VP of Content & Editorial Director of Luxury Travel Advisor and Julie Keller Callaghan, Editor-in-Chief & Publisher of American Spa.

The awards are designed to offer spas and wellness facilities “the opportunity to earn international recognition by some of the industry’s most notable names.”

Ruthanne Terrero is quoted as saying,. “The growth of luxury wellness travel is staggering and is offering such incredible revenue opportunities for not only spas, but hoteliers, destinations, cruise lines and of course, travel advisors. I couldn’t be more thrilled with this partnership, the results of the program, and all the positive feedback we’ve received from the marketplace.”
