The LivingWell Health Club & Spa, located in the historic city of Prague, Czech Republic, at the grand Hilton Prague, is this month’s featured property.
The LivingWell Health Club & Spa is a sports and relaxation club located on the Mezzanine floor of the grand Hilton Prague hotel. The space is an oasis of peace and tranquility in the center of the historic city of Prague, a place where guests can escape from the stresses of daily life to relax and nourish body and soul.
The LivingWell reopened its doors on June 1st, after shutting down for two and half months because of COVID-19. At around the same time that everything was closing, Lucie Kloboucnikova, LivingWell’s former assistant manager came into her new role as manager. The club and spa was also in the midst of the switch to using Book4Time spa management software at the time of shutdown. So, it was quite a lot of transition. Fortunately, Kloboucnikova says the training for her team “was very nice,” and Book4Time is much more user friendly than their previous software. Things are moving smoothly now and the spa is getting busy.
“We have been quite busy because we have our members,” Kloboucnikova told us, adding that the hotel is seeing more local visitors who are taking the opportunity to visit Prague while it’s not full of international tourists. “So, we don’t have the crowds of people Prague normally has this time of year, or the conference crowds. But we have made some special packages for the Czech tourists and they are enjoying the chance to visit the city.” she said.
For the time being, the major changes to the business operations at the LivingWell Health Club & Spa include social distancing, increased cleaning protocols and contactless payments. “We are social distancing everywhere,” says Kloboucnikova, “including in the pool area, the reception area, and in the gym. We are disinfecting the showers and all surfaces every two hours, so our cleaning people are pretty busy these days. And the contactless payment is preferred.”
